He started his journey with the Mercury Cycling Team in 1999, and in 2006 he secured victory in the Tour de France.

After retirement, he is now into the business ‘Floyd’s of Leadville,’ a company that specializes in marijuana-infused goods for athlete treatment.

But, we are not talking about his life and work history today, but about his wife Amber Landis.

Who is Amber Landis?

Amber Basile aka Amber Landis is the wife of former professional cyclist Floyd Landis, who was stripped of his 2006 Tour de France victory after testing positive for testosterone.

Amber stood by her husband throughout the doping scandal, and they have since gone on to become advocates for clean cycling.

She worked as a marketing manager for a cycling apparel company before becoming a full-time advocate for clean cycling.

She was born in 1978 in San Diego, California. Landis is a strong supporter of women’s rights and equality. And for education, she attended Point Loma Nazarene University, and graduated in business administration.

Floyd Landis’ wife – Married life

Amber and Floyd met in 1996 through Floyd’s close friend, David Witt.

David’s then-girlfriend, Amber’s mother, was a cycling enthusiast, and she introduced Amber to Floyd at a cycling event.

The two hit it off immediately, and they were married on February 10, 2001.

Amber was a constant source of support for Floyd during the doping scandal. She attended all of his court hearings and arbitration hearings, and she spoke out in his defense on numerous occasions.

She also wrote a book about her experiences, titled “Positive: The Story of Floyd Landis.”

In the years since the doping scandal, Amber has become an advocate for clean cycling. She has spoken out against doping at cycling events, and she has worked with organizations that are dedicated to promoting clean cycling.

Amber Landis is a strong and independent woman who has stood by her husband through thick and thin. She is an inspiration to many, and she is a role model for women who are involved in sports.
